I have been periodically working on some things for the upcoming DADuary 2013 that I will be doing this coming Winter. Last year it was purely a spontaneous knee-jerk reaction to Septembeard and MOvember, and I wanted to give dads their moment in the spotlight; even if it was just my little flashlight.
This year, for DADuary 2013 I am going to try and do something different. Instead of just celebrating dads and the Dadhood, I would like to take a page from those other months and do something that benefits the Dadhood. Both Septembeard and MOvember raise funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer, and that is awesome; our facial hair is the equivalent of the pink ribbons for breast cancer. I love those two ideas.
What I’m looking to do for DADuary 2013 is find an organization that does good for dads… ALL dads. I would like to somehow spotlight the organization, what they do, and find ways to help. The thing is that I don’t know where these organizations are. So if you have an idea of an organization, a foundations, or a company that does some good for dads, please comment below and let me know why you think they would be good to be spotlighted during DADuary 2013.

Perhaps consider spreading the word about fatherlessness. I have seen tremendous things happen with The Mentoring Project. http://thementoringproject.org/about/
What better way to appreciate all dads than to mentor children without fathers?
That is a great idea. I like it because it is a call to act and do something.
MenCare is a global fatherhood campaign that works to engage men as gender equitable, non-violent caregivers and fathers. (www.men-care.org) – @mencareglobal – http://www.facebook.com/mencarecampaign
Thank you for sharing. I will look into them.
